Farm, Tryon, N. C., has been pre
sented the Oak-Leaf Cluster to the
Legion of Merit by Lt. General
Lucius D. Clay, Deputy Military
Governor of Germany.
The Citation for exceptionally
meritorious conduct in the perform
ance of outstanding services reads
in part: “As Chief, Demobiliza

Control Council (Germany), Col

es. His tact, devotion to duty,
sound judgment and breadth of
