COMMUNICATIONS
The school and especially the
basketball players wish to thank
those who have contributed so
generously to the fund for the
purchase of basketball equipment
for the Tryon High School team.
To date we have received $104.
With this money we have secured
10 basketball uniforms, two basket
balls, 5 warm-up suits, 6 pair
basketball shoes.
We wish to express our thanks
to Mrs. M. B. Flynn, who has
helped "with securing these dona
tions and who has publicized the
need for this equipment.
We are indeed grateful to Seth
Vining, Jr., who has used his leave
of absence from the service to pre
pare not only the varsity basket
ball team, but a junior team as
well for the coming season. Seth
is a former graduate of the Tryon
