JOHN ORR Mrs. John Orr, 91, prominent (Tryon citizen, died Friday morn ing in a Greeneville, Tenn., hos pital where she was taken last week. She had been in declining health for several years. Funeral services were held Sun day afternoon at 4 o’clock at the Erskine Memorial Congrega tional church with the Rev. Frank W. Murtfeldt, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. C. P. Bur nett. Interment was in Tryon cemetery beside her husband, the late John Orr, former Tryon mer chant, builder and civic leader. The deceased is survived by .one daughter, Mrs. Otis West, of Charleston, S. C., and one sister, M'rs. W. E. Parsons, of Tryon. DR. PRESTON TO ADDRESS STATE WILDLIFE MEET A news release from Raleigh states that Dr. John Z. Preston, president of the Polk County Wild life Club, will be one of the speak ers at the first annual meeting of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation, Inc., at Greensboro on Wednesday and Thursday of this week, at Sedgefield Inn. Among the nationally known authorities to attend are Dr. H,. S. Swingle of Auburn, Ala. (API), Fred A. Westerman of Michigan, and Seth Gordon of Pennsylvania Game Commission. Major L. P.
