Au WILSON The 4-H Club Foundation wants to start a beef cattle development and improvement program similar 'to that being carried on with dairy cattle They want to meet with all the beef cattle growers in the county to get their ideas and co operation in carrying out the program. The problem they want you to help with is just what kind of a program to launch and how it can best be done. There are two pos sible ways to start. One is by plac ing feeder calves with 4-H club boys to feed out and the other is to place breeding heifers with club members with which to start a herd. Which one do you thing is better? Or do you think both methods should be used? Be think ing about both of these plans and let us have your reaction at the meeting. The meeting1 will be held at the Hotel Tryon (next to the new Town Hall tomorrow (Thursday), Jan. 24, at 12:30 noon. It will be a luncheon meeting and plates will be $1 each which each breeder is asked to pay for himself. The directors of the Foundation are very anxious that every beef cattle grower in the county and anv others interested be present. This is your opportunity to help develop your own industry in the county. It cannot be done without vour cooperation and support. Many of you have asked why can’t something be done to develop beef cattle li^e that being done with dairv calves? Now is our oppor tunity.
