PICNIC WEDNESDAY The Methodist Church picnic will be held Wednesday at Harmon Field at 6 o’clock. Members will meet at the church at 5:45 and a way will be provided for those who do not have transportation. Jim Moore of The Ballenger Co., is on his vacation, and he and Mrs. Moore are visiting Mr. and Mrs. James Moore at Columbia, S. C. Mr. and Mjrs. Clarence Newman spent the week-end at Sweetwater Valley, Tenn., where they took Mrs. Newman’s mother, Mjrs. Susan Hutcherson, who had been visit ing them. Mr;s. L. K. Singley is visiting in Columbus, Ga., and Mr. Sing ley’s sister, Mrs. L. H. Harvey of Sanford, Fla., is visiting him. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Owen have as guests, Mrs. Owen’s mother, Mrs. J. P. Lawing, and her niece, Miss Patricia Lawing, and cousin, Miss Bertha Goodson, all of Lin colnton. Many parents were so grateful for her work last year and were high in praise of her achievements. The way to keep a good thing is to support it enthusiastically, in every way.
