We are expecting about 500 ex service men #nd their wives. There will be singing of old familiar songs led by Dr. Laslett Smith, some of that good Ole Mountain Music as furnished by Mrs. Ar thur Thompson, Mrs. Clyde Jordan and others. There will be some keen banjo picking contests, so if you have a banjo or guitar bring it along. The highlight of the evening will be an address by _ Hon. Ralph Fisher of Brevard, N. Taylor, pastor of the Landrum Methodist Church. BUYS VINEYARD HERE Col. J. O. Safford has bought from Tom Costa and Ernest Gibbs the Bobo Lawrence property in the town of Tryon which includes a house, vineyard and some acreage in truck and fruit. When Col. Safford completes his improvements on the property he plans to ship his grapes to northern markets.
