Benard S. McEntyre left this morning for Ft. Bragg, for his preinduction physical examination. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Brown of Miami, Arizona, were week-end guests, of Mrs. Brown’s sister, Mrs. A. L. Covington and family. Open house was held at the home of Mrs. C. D. Davenport on Sun day. The occasion being to cele brate her 64th birthday. About 60 relatives and friends enjoyed a picnic supper from 5 to 7. Mrs. Davenport received many lovely and useful gifts.
