Judge Robert Marx To Speak At Kiwanis Judge Robert Marx of Cincinnati, O., who has a home in Gillette Woods, will be the guest speaker at the Tryon Kiwanis Club, Tues day at 1 p. m., at Oak Hall. Fred Swann will be in charge _ of the program. On a previous visit to his home here Judge Marx addressed the Tryon Rotary Club and gave a vivid account of some of his ex periences travelling with the late President F r a n k lin Roosevelt. Judge Marx and President Roose velt were close friends. His sub ject has not been announced. TRYON 6; MARSHALL 0 Friday the Tryon team went to Marshall. The rain and mud didn’t stop the Tryon team from working hard and winning the game. Both teams held their lines and kept either side from scoring until the second quarter when Bud Foster threw a pass to Dub Beatson, who carried the ball over for the first and only touchdown of the game. ■Several times the Tryon team got near their goal, but the strong Marshall line wouldn’t break Once Tryon was almost on their goal line when Marshall got the ball and threw a pass which was intercepted by one of the Tryon players.
