CURB REPORTER _Continued from Paoe One — Par for the hole is four. In golf language Mr. Lane shot an eagle . . . Circus days for this season are ending all over the nation, and Charlie Campbell of Sylva, N. C. who publishes a schedule of circus dates has sent us his last schedule, No. 30. It says “In deference to those who may have no homes the circus band on closing day of the season no longer plays, ‘Home Sweet Home’. Almost universally the custom has become to play in stead the less touching to the un fortunate ones, ‘Auld Lang Syne’.” .... Agitation for an airport for Tryon has brought out some more needs for the community: A sidewalk from Farmers Federation down the street opposite Sunny dale; a better sewerage system, more school facilities; a nursing home. All of those things are real needs and friends interested must get behind each project, and work continually until success is achiev ed. In the meantime we will go on with the survey of possibilities for an airport. Long time ago some people cussed the railroad trains because they scared the horses. It would take two years of plan ning to get an airport even if Tryon should decide to want it. The various communications from readers of The Bulletin will help the people to decide in weighing the advantages against the dis advantages. Columbus Hallowe’en To Be On Wednesday "Principal James W. Gantt states that the Stearns school Hallowe’en Carnival will be held Wednesday night, (tomorrow), and not Thurs day as erroneously reported.
