HONOR BRIDE-ELECT
Miss Rachel Pittman, whose en
gagement was recently announced
to Roy L. Williams, was honored
Wednesday night when Miss Mil
dred Lindsay and Mliss Lotus
Bradley entertained about 20 guests
at an informal party at the home
of Mrs. Grady E. Lindsay in Land
rum.
The home was decorated with
fall flowers. During the evening
games were played, after which a
miscellaneous shower was present
ed the bride-elect.
A dessert course was served by
Mrs. Grady Lindsay and the
hostesses.
H. C. Moon is exhibiting a wrist
watch and $100 War Bond as prizes
he won in a salesmanship contest
for the Walkeasy Shoe Co., last
week.
The Woman’s Auxiliary of the
Church of the Holy Cross will
meet on Monday, Nov. 11th, at 3:30
p. m. in the Parish House.
Judge Robert Marx has as
guests at his home in Gillette
Woods, Mir. and Mrs. Arthur M.
Anderson of Louisville, Ky. Mr.
Anderson is the receiver of the
National Bank of Louisville.
