Boy Scout work is itq be a success, all the people must participate; the Scout pro _Continued on Page Two—_ MRS. R. B. WHITE Mrs. Mildred Sammons White, 43, wife of R. B. White, an executive of the Southern Mercer izing Company, passed away Wed nesday night about 0:30 following an illness of several years. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. There will be no service in Tryon. The funeral will be held at Goldsboro, N. C., her childhood home on Friday after noon. Besides her husband, Mrs. White is survived by two sons, Ben White, Jr., 16, and Wiley White, age 12; and her mother, Mrs. Mattie Sammons of Goldsboro. Mrs. White was a member of the Presbyterian Church and be fore her illness was active in social and civic affairs in the community. MRS. H. A. DANIEL Mrs. Harriet Annie Daniel, 85, wife of the late Traynham Daniel, died Wednesday after a six-weeks’ illness. Born and reared in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Foster Bal lenger. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Samuel L. Austin; six grandchildren and two great grand children. Funeral services will be held Friday at an hour to be announced with the Rev. James B. Neil offi ciating at the First Baptist church. The Petty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. MASONS MEET MONDAY The Jeff L. Nelson Masonic Lodge will meet Monday night, January 13th, at 8 o’clock for work in the Master’s Degree.
