Vocational Training Exhibits, Style Show At P.-T. A. Thursday Exhibits of articles made, an in spection of the school wood-work ing shop, and a talk on the accom plishments of the vocational train ing program at the Try on school, will be one of the features of the Parent-Teacher Association meet ing in the school auditorium on Thursday night at 8 o’clock. Robert M. Foster, head of the vocational training, will be in charge of this feature, and will speak on the various phases and value of vocational training. Mrs. Robert M. Foster, home economics teacher, will present a style show of dresses made by pupils; the girls modeling the dresses they made. The meeting is being held in the evening this month, so that the fathers of the pupils may attend. A tea will be served after the meeting, by the following hostess es: Mesdames L. C. Reynolds, Homer Arledge, R. H. Brady, C. A. Martin. R. S. Jackson, J. A. Connell, Demos Chapman, Ebb Bishop, Robert Dedmondt, Ralph Ford and B. B. Flynn. COUNTY SEAT NEWS Reported by Mrs. J. A, Feagan. Grover Taylor is home for ten days from Oteen. Bobby Ramsey is recuperating at his home here after a sucessful operation at St. Luke’s hospital. Little Skippy Skipper suffered an attack of pneumonia last week. He is now well on the road to recovery. C. E. Blanton, Sr., is back at his place of business again, super vising, but taking it easy, as far as possible. Misses Betty Jean Gibbs and Kathleen Pittman returned Wed nesday to Furman University, having spent the Easter holidays at their homes here. Bill McFarland of Lenoir Rhyne spent the holidays with the Robert McFarlands. On' Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Pittman and daughters, Kathleen and Ann, attended a're-union of the Wilson family at the home of Mrs. Pittman’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J-oe Wilson in the Sunny _View section. All the family were present including in-laws and grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Prince Clarke re cently visited Mrs. J. W. New man at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. L. Smith, in ‘Gaffney. Mrs. Maggie Guffey is now visiting her daughter, Mrs. Earl Radford, in Marion. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Matthews and children of Detroit, have ar rived for a few days with rela tives in Hendreson and Polk Counties. Mrs. Barron White and chil dren of Davidson, are visit relatives here this week. Mrs. H. W. Hill was guest the Hugh Hills Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Head and family spent the week-end at Avondale. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Walker and sons of Estill, S. C., spent the week-end with the J. A. Feagans. Mrs. Clarence Thompson, who has been for some time at Ft. Bragg with her husband, is ex pected to arriive today for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bowen Constance. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Brazeal of Brevard were down for the Easter service at the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Caroline Bridges and Mr. and Mrs. Max Tessneer spent the week-end with Mrs. Forest Tess neer. J. W.
