This is a heartfelt plea to
the new city administration and
the Polk County authorities to
aggressively enforce the laws to
protect the community from the
unlicensed and vicious dogs roam
ing our streets and woods. They
are a menace to people and to
pets.
Last Saturday, at dusk, one of
them killed our beloved cat,
Scampy, on the fringe of the
garden to which he has, with
a dignified air of proprietorship
welcomed so many visitors.
