Vernon Smith will be in charge of the Tryon Kiwanis Club program Tuesday at 1 p. m., at Oak Hall and will have as his guest speaker, Charles Goggi, who will speak on the manufacture of wine and champagne. NO DOUBLE PARKING Chief of Police Walter L. Roach stated this morning that double parking of cars, will draw the same penalty as over-parking time. The chief also pointed out that there was only one exception, and that was letting wholesale and other trucks bringing merchandise to merchants, be permitted to double park. Record Crowd Expected To Attend Farm & Home Week Designed to be of interest to both men and women, the 1947 Farm and Home Week, to be held at State College August 25-29, will offer the expected record breaking attendance entertainment as well as many new ideas on farm and home practices. The series of demonstrations which are scheduled on practically every farm enterprise have been arranged to let both men and wo men see and actually take part. It is believed that through this type of training, the subject matter can be better explained and more easily grasped.
