C. Daniel, Jr., and Gerard Christopher of Landrum. Daniel had a sweet running outboard motor, in fact I ttunk it ran so smooth that it ypp the fish to sleep in the lake fo^JWe landed 11 crappie in about 3 hours of angling. I had rather catch a bass and bream than crap pie for they put up more of a fight. When a crappie strikes and you hook him the fight is over. Not so with the little old bream. He will zigzag and take the lure for a ride. Lake Adger is one of the few artificial lakes .in the moun tains of Western North Carolina that is not crowded with summer homes. The lake and dam is there and plenty of fish, if you cafi catch them. The water was murky on Thursday and the fish were strik ing slowly. Maybe that’s why I hooked only 2 small-fry crappie. __—Continued on Back Page_ PIEDMONT SCOUT BOARD MET AT CAMP SUNDAY The executive board of the Pied mont Council, Boy Scouts of Ameri ca, held its summer session at the Piedmont Boy Scout camp at Lake Lanier on Sunday.
