A white puppy was lying on the floor at Owen’s -Pharmacy Wednes day. A little boy came up and played with him affectionately. “That your dog-” asked the re porter. “No; he’s a stray; but ' Janies Ballew claims him.” Later the same dog was seen running along Grady Avenue with Donald Sizemore’s boy. Young Sizemore said, “I think he is my dog and James Ballew says he is his. The dog stays part of the time at his home and part of the time at mine and follows us to school.” He is a friendly little dog and likes to chase automobiles. As hereto fore, rehearsals will be held in the First Baptist Church. The policy of last season where J>y club _ members purchased their own copies of music, will be aban doned. Music will be purchased by the club and will be loaned to the members. In order that the correct amount of music may be ordered new mem bers will please notify Miss Mary E. Polk 4-H’ers Display Six Junior Dairy Animals At WNC Fair, Hendersonville Henry Deck’s “Duke Power Am perage”, was again junior cham pion and grand champion 6f the Guernsey breed, both in open class es and closed junior show. He won first place at the Ashe ville show and repeated the per formance at the Hendersonville WNC Fair. Reba Wilson won the showman ship and fitting award for $26 first place. All Polk County ani mals were selected to compete in class. * Alvin Stott’s “Walcott Aurora”, first place in 2 year old Jersey junior show; fifth place in open show.
