P.T.A. HAS KIRST MEET
The opening meeting of the
Parent-Teacher Association was
well attended. Dr. Claude Scar
borough chose as the subject of his
address—“Teaching the Child
about God.” He stressed the value
of talking naturally and sincerely
with the child about God and the
importance of otfr daily living as
it impresses the ehild.
Attendance prizes were awarded
to Mrs. Rector’s third grade, Miss
Early’s fourth grade and Miss
Viele’s eleventh grade.
Two major objectives of the
association as announced by Mrs.
Roger Shaffer, president, are/ the
enlargement of the school play
ground and its improvements, and
the financial aid toward the teen
age canteen’s maintenance for a
