The Woman's Auxiliary of the
Episcopal Church held its monthly
meeting at the residence of Miss

Nov. 7, was also considered. Mrs.
Halcott Green and Miss Virginia
Green will represent the Saluda
Auxiliary.
This- latter meeting was held
at the Church of the Holy Cross.
Rev. Wm. T. Capers, Jr., rector
of the church, opening the meeting
and stating that the most impor
tant matter to be considered a this
time was the election of a successor
to the Rt. Rev. Robert Emmet
Gribbin whose resignation as bish
op of the Diocese on account of ill
health, had been most reluctantly
accepted.
A prayer, authorized by the
Standing Committee of the Diocese
of W. N. C. to be used until a
successor to 'Rev. Gribbin had
been chosen, was given to those
present. The usual business of the
Auxiliary was transacted and was
followed by a delightful luncheon
and social- hour. The women of
the Tryon Auxiliary were most
gracious and hospitable.
