BURTON WALKER Burton Walker, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Otis Walker of Lynn, died Tuesday afternoon at St. Luke’s hospital after an illness of one week. Surviving besides the patents are 4 brothers, J. 0. Walker, Jr., of In man and Frank, R. G., and Charles W'hlker, all of Lynn; 3 sisters, Mrs. J. C. Ravan of Tryon, and the Misses Patricia and Linda Jean Walker of Lynn and the maternal grandfather. McCall had charge of the Tryon Kiwanis Club program Tuesday at 1 p. m., at Oak Hall and presented a New Year’s Reso lution program which called for six New Year’s Resolutions from each member. One by one the resolutions were passed from one member to another until the six resolutions were written, and then the member holding the sheet of resolutions read them as if they were his own. Dr. Laslett Smith led a program of songs. J. A. Simpson, recently of Ridgewood, N. J., but now of Tryon, was a guest of K. A. Bowen.
