Riding & Hunt Club To Meet Tonight At 8:30 The annual meeting of the Try on Riding & Hunt Club will be held tonight at 8:30 at Oak Hall hotel. All persons interested are invited to attend. Election of offi cers and plans for the season will be on the program. T. E. CARTER T. E. Carter, 71, veteran of the Spanish-American War, died Sun day night at 9:30 at Mountain Home, Tennessee, Government Hos pital, following an operation. Mr. Carter had made his home in Saluda on Henderson St., the past four year, having moved from Landrum. He was a native of Brevard. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The deceased is survived by his widow; one son, Harold, of Boston, Mass.; a grandson, Marco Rhyne, U. S. Navy, overseas. Also two sisters of Asheville and one broth er of Charlotte.
