UNDER THE ACT OF CONGRESS, MARCH 3. 1879 The Try on Daily Bulletin The World’s Smallest daily Newspaper Seth M. Vining, Editor 5c Per Copy TRYON, N. Tryon merchants are so gen- ! erous in proportion to their ability to pay and are asked so often by so many people for so many* causes that they have almost lost the enthusiasm to take the initiative in nromoting things for their town benefit, for they know that pretty oon or later someone will be around soliciting. In most cities the matter of decorating the streets tor Christmas is a merchant’s and jness mens problem, because iecorations add to the attrac ts of the town and induce more people to trade. It helps to get fhem in the Christmas spirit. In Tryon when the announcement was made that donations were needed to pay for the decorations only one merchant responded. Fortunately, friends Of the community who love Tryon so much that they want it decorated with those lighted Christ mas trees are sending in donations from Minnesota to Florida. Thev will not have an oppotrunity to even see the trees but they like the ’dea. Some of the donors who have already given will not be here, but they want a part in the decora tions.
