Weather Thursday was mild and
delightful. It was 40 degrees this
morning at 7:30. Everybody is
getting ready for the coming of
Santa Claus tonight. The young
folk have been having parties
galore and there are more scheduled
for nexft week. Let happiness and
joy reign for the King of Kings
brought true love into the world
to teach us to love one another.

Bank, Federal Savings, Duke
Power, Court House, Tryon Shoe
Hospital and some other business
lumses will be closed Monday.

a Christmas Dance. Oak Hall and

may need many things but it needs
most of all your love and interest
in its welfare. We all need one
another and we extend to all public
officials, utility employees, post
office and others who have served
the community so well our best
wishes for a Merry Christmas.
