WILLIAMS KILLED IN AUTO ACCIDENT Funeral services for Mrs. Mar garet Byrum Williams, 52, of Tryon, who was instantly killed in a truck-car collision Saturday afternoon on the Anderson High way near Greenville, S. C., will be held Monday at 3 p. m. in MacKey Mortuary at Greenville. The Rev. Dwight M. Chalmers of Greenville and the Rev. C. E. Scarborough of Tryon will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park at Greenville. •The accident occurred Saturday about 1 p. m. when the car in which Mrs. Williams was a pas senger was involved in a collision with a pickup truck near Grove Station. Her husband, John Leroy Wil liams, said to be the driver of the car, is a patient in a Greenville hospital where his condition was re ported satisfactory. A native of Anderson, Mrs. Wil liams was born December 14, 1896, the daughter of the late Joseph and Fannie Riley Byrum, and had moved to Tryon about two years ago after residing in Greenville and Miami. Surviving in addition to the hus band are one son, Gordon E. Wil liams of Greenville; one daughter, Mrs. C. D. Millard Jr., of Miami; two brothers, Paul Byrum of Green ville and Joe Byrum of Homestead, Fla.; two sisters, Miss Cora Byrum of Anderson and Mrs. J. J. L. Phil lips of Coral Gables, Fla.; two grandchildren. Mr. .and Mrs. Williams moved to Tryon about two years ago when they bought the Elbert Arledge rock house in the Valley.
