COLUMBUS NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Claude. Odell and children have moved to Cooper Gap. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Skinner are occupying the house recently vacated by the Odells. Col. Ted Herron and Edward Haynes of Hallelujah Hill have gone to Miami, Fla. for the months of January and February. During their absence Mr, William Stodler Smith and family of Elkville, Ind., will reside at Hallelujah Hill. Lieut. Calvin Ramsey returned Saturday to Barksdale Air Field, La., after spending the holidays with Mrs. Ramsey and other rela tives. Mr. and Mrs. James Scroggs, operators of the Columbus Shoe Repair Shop are moving this week to Maryville, Tenn. Miss Vadah McMurray return ed Sunday to Paw Creek to re sume her duties in the high school there. Grading was recently begun on the site where the Columbus Mills plan to erect an addition to their plant, in the near future. Tench T. Edwards has returned to Cullowhee after spending the holidays with relatives. He visit ed his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Laheska, at Lamberton, N. J., then his paternal grandmother, Mrs. A. A. Edwards, and other relatives in and around Columbus. Archie Feagan of Harrington, Delaware, Mrs. Leona F. Loy of Culpeper, Va., and Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Walker and children of Estill, S. C., have returned to their homes after a visit with the J. A. Feagans during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. John Holmes, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cannon and Miss Callie Mae Holmes, of Lockney, Texas, visited relatives in Colum bus last week. Mrs. Holmes is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Hampton, who formerly resided here. Rev. A. N. Littlejohn of Tim monsville, S. C., made a short visit, to friends here last week. Though his time was short he managed to cover considerable territory and saw a number of old friends.
