Zogbaum, son of Capt. and Mrs. Rufus Zogbaum of Try on, as one of 8 America’s greatest photographers, and gives a small picture of Mr. Zogbaum and a large picture of his model, Pat Miller. The title of the story is “My Favorite Model”—“Eight of America’s greatest photographers present the loveliest women in the world—their models.” . . . Con gratulations to Rev. Archie Ellis, pastor of the Salisbury First Bap ti^Church, and son-in-law of Mr. |P^Mrs. L. A. Avant, who has just been elected president of the General Board of the North Caro lina Baptist Convention . . . Con tributions to the March of Dimes Fund are coming in at the rate of about $100 per day. At that rate it will take a month to reach our quota of $3,100. Checks may be sent to Mrs. F. W. Sprague, coun ty treasurer or the Bulletin office in Tryon; to the Lookout Club in Columbus, Booster’s Club in Saluda, or the principal of any school in the county . . . This is a busy week. Kiwanis today at 1 p. m., Congregational church annual meeting at 6:30; another trail ride -Continued on Back Page_ Boy Scout Honor Court Advances Polk Scouts The Polk County Boy Scout Court of Honor was held Monday night at the Try on school follow ing the Scouter supper. Serving on the Court were El bert H. Arleage, Robert H. Milli kin, Rev. Homer E. Brady, J. T. Arledge, Seth M. Vining, Nelson Jackson Jr. and Scout Executive R. M. Schiele. County Chairman B. B. Flynn and Scouter President R. H. Brady commented on the actvities of Scouting and the need for more cooperation on the part of parents in helping their boys go forward. Nelson Jackson III served as secretary in the absence of Mrs. Schiele. The meeting opened with prayer by Rev. W. H. Quinn of Sandy Plains and Mr. Schiele led in the repeating of the Scout oath. In his remarks Mr. Schiele re minded the assembly of the oppoi tunities in Scouting during the coming 39th year for the Boy Scouts of America and the 25th (Silver Anniversary) of the Pied mont Council. National Boy Scout Week will be February 6 to 12th. February 6th will be National Boy Scout Sunday. Scouts were advanced as follows: Tenderfoot: Billy Powell, Pres ton Pittman, David Donald, Le Roy Emery, Tryon. Second Class: Fred Mittenzwei, Leo Porter, Tryon; Leroy Hipp, Saluda; Walden McGinnis, Sandy Pla'ins.
