THE APPLE FESTIVAL
“Hendersonville is staging its
annual Apple Festival in the days
ahead, with an elaborate program
of events. A part of this program
is the showing of the, apple or
chards of the region by tour. Ex
perts on horticulture will accom
pany the parties visiting the apple
growing region in which some of
the best apples are grown.
“This is an interesting and
diversified region of the country
we inhabit. In 40 miles three are
the peach Orchards of Spartanburg
County, the grape vineyards of
Tryon and the apple orchards of
Polk and Henderson counties. And
in these the best varieties of these
fruits are produced.
