Miss Maiiie Earle and Rudolph Earle are visiting friends in St. Petersburg, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Heavner and Miss Sara Heavner have re turned from a trip to Lincolnton and Shelby. L. E. Bishop is ill in the Veter an’s Hospital in Columbia, S. C., gwbere he recently underwent an ■Juration. *^The Business Women’s Circle of the First Baptist Church met on Tuesday evening in the home of Mrs. Bayless Christopher. After a business session a discussion of their mission study book, “The Little Prophet of Cane Cree4c” was held. Mrs. Christopher served re freshments to the 16 members present. The Intermediate Department of the First Baptist Church enjoyed a party in the Adult Assembly room Tuesday evening. About 20 were present and enjoyed the re freshments served by the teachers.
