Your Neighborhood DRUGGIST for Over Half A Century. MISSILDINE’S PHARMACY “The Rexall Store.” Phone No. 4 CLEAN OUT BREADBOX It is important to give food con tainers scrupulous attention in hot weather. Bread and cake box es readily accumulate bacteria that quickly spoil even a fresh loaf. The containers should be washed weekly, both inside and outside, with hot, sudsy water followed by a rinse of boiling water to kill any mold. Dry with a clean dish towel, and leave the open box on the win dow or out of doors. This allows air and sun to complete the sweet ening._ ^Have You Been Counted? The unofficial returns for the 1950 census covering the popula tion for the Town of Tryon has been a matter of concern to the town government. The town receiv es a portion of the intangibles tax, gasoline tax, the public utilities franchise tax and other revenue from the North Carolina Depart ment of Revenue. All such distrib ution is based in part upon popula tion figures. The apparent decrease in the poulation of Tryon during the past ten years may mean that Tryon will not receive as much revenue during the next ten years as it is rightfully entitled to. There have been a number of cases re ported which seem to indicate that residents in the corporate limits were not counted in the recent census. The Department of the Census has provided the Town Manager with forms whereby any one who was hot enumerated may be added at this time. If you were not counted in the regular census or if you know of anyone living within the Town limits who was not counted, please call at the Town office where the proper form will be completed for you. We feel that it is the civic duty of every resident to see that the census gives Tryon a full count. —Advertisement 17, 21. 24.
