daughter of Samuel Leonard Aus
tin and the late Mrs. Austin of
Landrum, and Roy Arnold Soles
bee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward
James Solesbee, of Wellford, were
married at the home of the bride
on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 23,
at 4, with the Rev. Ansel Pruitt
of the Jackson Mill Baptist Church
officiating.
The bride and bridegroom enter
ed together and spoke their vows
before an arrangement of ferns,
ivy and tall baskets of white gladio
li and chrysanthemums. Candles
in 7-branched candelabra were
lighted by Marvin Arthur Wood
ward Jr. of Aiken, nephew of the
bride.
Mrs. Charles J. Stover furnished
the wedding music.
Mrs. Solesbee is a teacher of
home economics in the Campo
bello High School. Mr. Solesbee,
a veteran of World War II, is em
ployed with Jackson Mills, Well
ford, where the couple will make
their home.
Out-of-town guests were Mr. and
Mrs. E. J. Solesbee, Mr. and Mrs.
Pat Hawkins of Wellford, Mr. and
Mrs. Marvin Woodward and sons,
Austin and Woody of Aiken; Mr.
and Mrs. Melvin Solesbee of In
man, and Miss Annie Sevier of
Rock Hill.

fpr the Austin-Solesbee wedding
last week.
Rev. and Mrs. Harold Seim*
macher had as their guests last

small son, Robert, of Lancaster,
S. C., and Mr. and Mrs. John
Schumacher of Landrum.

produced in Pamlico County this
year.
