HI be a “Monkeys Uncle” if
the first production of the Tryon
Little Theatre doesn’t thoroughly
entertain those who see it tonight
or tomorrow night when it is pre
sented in the Tryon school, audi
torium. The curtain will rise at
8:30 p. m., and from that minute
until the minute that it falls at
the end of the third act the show
is packed with intriguing situa
tions and amusing dialogue, guar
anteed to keep you entertained.
For the past two days, I have
been in close touch with the cast
of “John Loves Mary” and with
the production staff which has
done so much to make the play the
fine production that it is. All of
these people have put in hour after
hour of hard work to bring Tryon
a good play. I am sure that I
am now safe in saying that the
only thing left to make “John
Love Mary” a complete success is
an appreciative andienna.
George ilcsilinll has built one
of the most attractive sets that i
have ever seen on our stage. Bob
Millikin, Leonard Porter and
Frenau Blankenship, have crawled
rafters and hung from ladders
getting lights and curtains in
position to give just the right
effect. It’s almost a finished pro
duction—it will be “finished” when
the people of Tryon turn out to
enjoy it ot» of the two night*.
