7:30 this morning and has con
tinued all morning, but the air is
not so cold and all the school
children who were let out are hav
ing a good time. Roads are danger
ous and many cars without chains
were skidding about on the street.
School buses were equipped with
chains in order to take the chil
dren home safely .... The Bird
Dog Field Trials scheduled for
Saturday at Screven Lower Pas
ture has been postponed until next
Saturday on account of the snow.
Should the snow belt today officials
state that the grounds would be
in no condition to permit the

urges everyone to scatter bird
seed, bread crumbs under bushes
and places for the birds to eat
while the snow is on the ground,
and to keep all feeding stations
filled. The snow has covered their

States for a visit with her sisters,
