COLUMBUS NEW HOMES
Knox-Gramling Homes, Inc., of
Gramling, expects to build 30 homes
near Spartanburg this year, Presi
dent Henry Gramling announced.
Also under way is construction
of 25 homes at Union and several
homes at Columbus, N. C. Homes
at Columbus will be built as buyers
order them, Mr. Gramling said. A
large number probably will be need
ed for workers in the new Deer
ing-Milliken woolen mill under con
struction at Columbus.
Homes will be for sale, most of
them for $6,000 to $8,000. Persons
who ordered homes in Clarendon
Hills last year and weren’t able
to get them, will be given first
choice on the new homes.
The homes are pre-cut “Knox
Homes” from the Knox Mill at
Thomson, Ga. Mr. Gramling said
buyers placing their orders now
may have their choice of exterior
