ZEB COVIL Zeb Covil, 47, passed away at his home in Granite Falls, N. C., early today. Mr. Covil was a son of the late William W. and Dovie Cochran Covil and a native of Polk County. He made his home here until sev eral years ago, when he moved to Hickory to go into business. The deceased is survived by one brother, Frank Covil, of Lin colnton; and two sisters, Mrs. Will Conner and Mrs. Taft Hudson of Lynn. Funeral services will probably be at the Pacolet Baptist church in Lynn on Sunday. Interment will be in Tryon Cemetery. CREASMAN FOR MAYOR Wayne W. Creasman, Tryon builder, has announced for Mayor of Tryon in the municipal election to be held in May. Mr. Creasman said: “In announcing myself as can didate for mayor of Tryon in the coming Town election, I do so only with the thought of being of service to our town. “The business affairs of the town are run by the commisison ers. “If elected as mayor, I shall endeavor to administer all ordi nances of the town without fear or favor. “The town has made wonderful prograss under past administra tions, I hope to see this same prog ress continue.’’ Mr. (Jreasman is electrical in spector for the Town of Tryon, IT. S. official weather observer, and is a member of the Tryon Fire De partment. He served many years as justice of the peace and suoer intendent of the Methodist Sun day school and has been active in other civic affairs. Honeycutt, minister of the Church of Christ in Tryon. Only immediate members of the two families will be present at the double ring ceremony.
