Donations continue to come in for the hospital .... Stearns j school sixth grade won a prize for raising the most money for the hospital and will pay a Visit to the hospital next week. The big ther mometer today shows that dona tions have climbed to $16,500 which is $1,500 above the goal set and another donation came in this morning from a friend in Wiscon sin .... Blue Ridge Weavers show windows are displaying the beautiful Tryon Horse trophies to be presented next week. JOHN SHEEHAN John Sheehan, 807native of Polk County died early Thursday morning at his home following an extended illness. He is survived by four sons, Floyd and Link of Mill Spring Route 1, William and Walker of Tryon Route 1; six daughters, Mrs. Eva Pritchard. • Mrs. Emma Mills of Mill Spring Route 1; Misses Minnie and Denu esta Sheehan at the home; Mrs. Adelaide Wagner, Tryon Route 1; and Mrs. Bessie Hensley of Ruth erfordton Route 1; also 45 grand children and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p. m. at Manus Chapel on Pea Ridge with the Rev. J. A. Fitzgerald officiating. McFarland Funeral Home of Tryon in charge. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Alcoholics Anonymous To Meet In Tryon Monday Night An open meeting of the Alco holics Anonymous group will be held in Tryon Monday night at 8 at the Recreation Center. All who are interested in the problem of alcoholism are invited to be present. The purpose of the meeting is to organize a group of Alcoholics Anonymous in Tryon and it is for those sincerely inter ested in such ah undertaking, say the organizers, and is not for the curious. Members of a neighboring group of Alcoholics Anonymous will con duct the meeting.
