The directors of the club operate it; the members hold title to it, but every citizen here really owns it, especially property owners, for m iout the Country Club to furn recreatfyn there would be many less people here. The stores would have fewer customers, the lawyers, doctors, architects, and other professional people would have less business and even the smallest property owner would Suffer in the loss of value to his holdings. The Country Club here means increased value from $100 to thousands of dollars to the homes in ^ this area. The directors are trying to increase the value ahd services of the club by having a pro house where the professional can live and keep in closer touch with the club members. Hildreth, who died Monday morning at 8:30 at St. Luke’s Hos pital, following two months illness, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4 at McFarland Funeral Home. Burial will be in Tryon Cemetery. [ Dr. Edmund M. Wylie will officiate Mr. and Mrs. Hildreth had re cently moved into their new home i on Wilderness Road, after about two years residence herd. She was born in Illinois. The deceased is survived by her husband, John C. Hildreth of Try on; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Gollan of Western Springs, HI.; a son, John C. Hildreth Jr., Chagrin Falls, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. E. A. Button, Western Springs; three brothers, W. E. and Baron A. Gollan, Western. Springs and Robert S. of LaGrange, 111., and two grandchildren. HERE FROM TURKEY Miss N. Elizabeth Nash, who has be6n teaching physics at the American College for Girls at Istanbul, Turkey, has arrived in Tryon for a month’s visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Nash at their home, Tangle wood. Miss Nash is also a niece of the Misses Dianne, Ann and Mar garet Nash. She will enter the University or Wisconsin this fall for work toward her master’s degree. The annual picnic of the Tryon Methodist Church will be held at Harmon Field Wednesday after noon, Aug. 16th, at 6. Transpor tation will be furnished for anyone needing it by calling 26-J.
