A 30-by-87-foot addition, for storage purposes, is being made to the main building. Spokesmen for the corporation estimated that completed cost of the rebuilding operation will be in excess of $150,000. They1 anticipate that the plant will be ready to resume full operations about Oc tober 1. The new plant will have a capa city for processing approximately 4,500 tons af rought material a month. Prom this is produced feld spar, fine mica and quartz sand. Chief source of supply are large deposits in the Piney Branch sec tion near Spruce Pine.
