COMMUNICATIONS Dear friends: Well, here I am back in Texas, and it is still wide and open with the 100 degree sun shining every day! I got here Sept. 5th after spend ing a few days with my parents in Detroit, I was kindly hating to report back to Texas, but it isn’t bad at all. This is a very nice base and Waco is a pretty nice town. We have quite a few boys here from North Carolina and Trouth Carolina. I met a boy yesterday from Spartanburg, but I never meet anyone from Tryon or vicini ty. If John Neil Conner is still in San Antonio, I plan to go down and see him. It’s 180 miles from here. If any of you have his ad dress or the address of any boys in Texas, please send them to me. Today was promotion day, so its hard to unite with all the guys talking. Slome bragging and some complaining. In my last letter I gave you my new address and since then it has changed a bit. The following 1C! PftT'T'PPt * “Pfc. John G. Dalton. AF1440 “Pfc. John G.
