Leaves For New Orleans Mrs. Harkness Smith leaves to day for a two weeks’ stay in New Orleans, La., where she will have a showing of her flower paintings at the Modern Age Galleries. She will be accompanied by Mrs. John Fuldner. TRYON GOLF NOTED Wilton Garrison’s Sports Parade in Sunday’s Charlotte Observer had the following comment regarding golf in Tryon: “Native mountain chaps are em ployed as caddies at the Tryon Country Club. The other day Guy tiwards, waiting for somebody in ^ foursome to putt out, asked s caddy: “What is considered a good score on this course?” “Mis ter,” replied the youngster solemn ly, “most of them try to do it in just the littlest strokes as they kin, but mosten of the time it takes some more.” That, we would say, is a pretty good summary of the great (and humbling) game of golf.
