the Tryon Country Club Sunday

sored by the Club Tournament
Committee. This is the last one of
the season. All members are ex
pected to play whether they call
themselves good or not. Prizes and
lots of fun are promised by the
committee. Players must report at

is good. Dr. Gordon Graham, whose
mother was born in England, has
a friend from Scotland. They now
live at Mocksville, N. C. The other
day they made some Scotch Short

Yearbook Contract Signed
Contract for the printing of the
Tryon High School 1952 Year
book has been signed with the
Keys Printing Co., of Greenville,
S'. C., according to the school re
porter. The necessary quota of
support has not been received to
date, but the officials state that
they have faith enough in the
project to expect delivery of the
book before the 1952 commence
ment.
DINNER TICKETS READY
Mrs. Sibyl Brendall stated Mon
day that tickets for the annual
Tryon Chamber of Commerce din
ner-meeting are now available at
Missildine’s, Owen’s and the Cham
ber of Commerce office. The meet
ing will be held Monday night, Oct
29th, at Oak Hall with talks by
the Rev. Charles L. McGavern,
Matt O’Shields and a musical pro
gram by Happy Harvey.
