Mrs. Byron Rector’s third grade of Tryon school, has secured 73 naid members for the P.-T. A. FOOTBALL HERE FRIDAY The Tryon High Tigers will meet the Christ School football eleven Friday at 3:30 p. m., at Harmon Field. Christ School is reported to have one of the strong est teams in this area. TRYON SCHOOL NEWS On Wednesday, Oct. 24, Mrs. Pauline Scruggs’ fifth grade gave in the school auditorium ‘A Topsy Turvey Hallowe’en,” a play writ ten by the pupils. All costumes were made by the children and every class member had a part in the play. The characters were: Children—Wylie Burns, Richard Hunnicutt, Cynthia White, .Larry Fowler, Toney McGuinn, Natika Waterman, Calvin Cochrane, Dean Johnson and Dorothy Ballew. Mother, Merica PafKer; ghost, Fred Taylor; owls, Barbara Tharpe ,Irene Searcey, Larry Nor ton, Nick McGraw, and Betty Faye Stewart; pumpkins, Shirley Foster, Bonnie Edney, Jerry Bar nette, Benny Smith, Douglas Ear ley; and cornstalks, George Wall, Linda Thompson, Chad Rhodes, Betty Jones.
