Tryon Hounds will meet at 3 p.
m., Thanksgiving afternoon for
their first formal drag of the sea
son. Hounds will meet at Little
Orchard on the Ridge Road. Spec
tators may view the hunt and a
car guide will direct them to
vantage points.
THANKSGIVING PROGRAM
Miss Durham’s fourth graders
were in charge of the Tryon school
assembly program Wednesday.
They presented a Thanksgiving
program of recitations, songs, a
humorous monologue, and a play.
Those students taking part were
Bobby Dedman, Doyce Flynn, Fred
Gibbs, Lee Hurley, Billy Lindsey,
David Martin, Phillip Pack, Jack
Parker, Billy Ross, John Shields,
and Creston Walker; also, Elaine
Bradley, Margaret Crissone, Jac
queline Davidson, Carolyn Green,
Annie Lee Kuykendall, Geraldine
Lankford, Joan Leonard, Joan
Miller, Jessie Newman, Mable
Owens, Margaret Pressley and
Anna Swann. James Steadman
was in charge of stage props.
Miss Durham of Tryon school'
entertained her fourth graders at
her home in Landrum last Satur
day from 10:30 to 4 o’clock. After
several games and a weiner roast,
the groups attended a movie. Every
pupil of the grade was able to
be present.
