wonderful weather for this time
of year. Nice for hiking, motoring
and picnicking. Who can kick on
a 63 degree temperature in the
shade in the winter? Of course
that means it's much warmer in the
sun. One of the finest compliments
for a community that surpasses all
the chamber of commerce and
newspaper publicity is when a dis
criminating family of good taste
and culture come back to make it
home after having lived in it. This
h^Bens often in Tryon and these
help form the backbone of
cdmfnumty spirit. They are not
floaters, grumblers, knockers, nor
reformers. They appreciate the
community as it is, but are ever
ready to help it develop along
lines in harmony with the best in
terests of the majority. Mr. and
Mrs. Lk M. Cunningham, who built
a home on Hannon Field road
several years ago and had to leave
for business reasons, have returned
to the same neighborhood. The Paul
Smiths, Prentice Lackeys. Mc
Dougalds, Mrs. Frost, R. O. An
drews, are just a few that come
to mind. Every now and then we
think a newcomer has arrived in
Tryon hell say, “I was here 25 or
