FORUM SPEAKERS Speakers at the Forum on Tues day evening, Dec. 11, will discuss the various agencies of the United Nations. Dr. Mary Wardwell will tell of the work of the World Health Organization; J. A. Simp son, the World Bank and Fund; Mrs. Nelson Leonard, the Interna tional Children’s Emergency Fund’ Paul Culberson, the Farm and Agriculture Organization; Miss Edith Penney, the Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organiza tion; Dr. Charles McGavern, the Declaration of Human Rights.* Dr. Alexander Dye will present the General Organization of the United Nations and the speakers listed above will give five minute BETTY STURGIS SHOP If we can claim au thority on ANY sub ject we should be able to claim it on the sub ject of the workings of a grandmother’s heart. HOSPITAL NEWS Mary Lois Higgins, daughter of Mr.' and Mrs. Albert Higgins of Tryon was admitted to St. Luke’s Hospital. The following patients were discharged from the hospital: Mrs. Dorothy M. Fuldner, Mrs. G. L. Pace Jr., of Tryon; William McDowell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry McDowell, Columbus. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Pittmai^f Tryon are the parents of a da^H^ ter born, Dec. 6th, at 10:30 Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jackson of Mill Spring are the parents of a son, born Dec. 6th, at 4:50 p. m.
