MISS GERTRUDE TAYLOR
Miss Gertrude Towland Taylor,
51, of Tryon, formerly of Spar
tanburg, died at her home at Try
on Thursday morning at 6.
She had made her home with her
mother at Tryon for the past 18
years. She was born in Spartan
burg Feb. 12, 1900, and was a
daughter of Mrs. Margaret O’Le
mar Scruggs Taylor and the late
Harry A. Taylor.
Miss Taylor was a member of
the Episcopal Church at Tryon and
attended the Gwynn School for
girls in Spartanburg.
Surviving are her mother; one
sister, Mrs. Jane Taylor Reagan
o^Weaverville, N. C.; one aunt,
f’Jk James H. Armstrong of
6£3snville.
Funeral services Friday at 2 p.
m.. at the J. F. Floyd Mortuary
with the Rev. Charles L. McGav
ern and the Rev. Capers Satterlee
officiating. Burial in Oakwood
Cemetery, Spartanburg.
The body is at the home at
Tryon.
