ALFRED PAYNE
Alfred Payne passed away Tues
day around 5:30 A. M. at Spart
anburg General Hospital after
about two weeks’ illness.
Alfred Payne was a native of
Tryon and made his home here
all his life. He operated a taxi
service for over twelve years.
He is survived by his widow,
Margaret, one daughter, Miss
Barbara Payne; three Sons, Alfred
Jr., James and Ned all of Tryon.
Two granddaughters, Margaret
and Valerie Payne. Four sisters,
Mrs. Gertrude Lyles, Tryon, Mrs.
Marie Mack, Tryon; Mrs. Phyllis
Green, Washington, D. C.; and
Mrs. Alberta Partee, Tryon Two
brothers, Iley Payne, Tryon and
Luster Payne, Washington, D. C.
