account of a conflict . .The first of
a series of lectures by Dr. George
Farrand Taylor on The Four Gos
pels, begins tonight at the Episco
pal Parish House at 8 o’clock, un
der the sponsorship of the Men’s
Club of the1 Church of the Holy

WILLIAM PARKER
William Jackson Parker, 91,
died at his home, Sunbeam Farm,
Chesnee Route 2, Saturday night
at 11:25.
He was a retired farmer and
was a member of Boiling Springs
Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Willie Franklin Parker; four
daughters, Mrs. Ina Flick and Mrs.
Anna Flick, both of Brownsville,
Pa., Mrs. Nellie Vipperman of
Pittsburg, Calif., and Mrs. Mollie
Hamilton of Columbia, S. C.;
Three sons, W. B. of Tryon, N.'
C., Arthur of Philadelphia, Pa.,
and Otho of Allentown, Pa.; one
half sister, Mrs. Jane S. Marler
of Beaumont, S. C. 15 grandchild
ren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
Wednesday at 2 p. m., at Boiling
Springs Baptist Church, conduct
ed by the Revs. Dudley Thomas
Pomeroy and J. G. Wood. Burial
will be in the Tryon cemetary.
The J. F. Floyd Mortuary is
in charge of arrangements.
