Archie R. Blackmon
Archie R. Blackmon, 56, Landrum
druggist, died unexpectedly Sun
day at 10:15 a. m. at the home
ot his mother-in-law, Mrs. Lula
Carpenter of Landrum.
He was a native of Kershaw
and had been a druggist in Lan
drum 23 years until his retirement
several years ago.
He was a son of the late W. L.
and Almeta Roberts Blackmon of
Kershaw. Surviving are: his wife
Mrs. Lucille Carpenter Blackmon;’
a son, Robbie of New York; two
brothers, W. L. Blackmon of West
viHe, S. C.; and Dr. H. G. Black
mon of Tampa, Fla.; three sisters,
Mrs. J. V. Thompson of Wilming
ton, N. C., Mrs. Leon Doland of
Charleston, S. C. and Mrs. Joe
Griffin of Marshall, N. C.
Funeral probably Tues., 11 a.m.

Mrs. Sally Ledbetter
Mrs. Sally Ledbetter, 75, of
Rutherfordton, RFD 3, died in
a hospital in Rutherfordton at
12:45 p. m. Sunday.
The widow of W. H. Ledbetter,
she was a native of Rock Springs
and a member of the- Rock Springs
Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Dan
Ledbetter of Rutherforton, RFD
3; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lloyd
Connor of Dayton, Ohio; a sister,
Mrs. W. H. Whiteside of Ruther
fordton RFD 3, and five grand
children.
Funeral services will be held
in Rock Springs Baptist Church
at 2:30 p. m. Monday.

held Saturday afternoon1 at the
Episcopal Church with Mr. Mc
