rain reported here fell Monday
night in a down pour; but Tuesday
morning the sun was shining
bright; most of the water had run
off the hillsides; a delightful dry
breeze came along to take away
the surface moisture and when Mr.
Creasman read his instruments
the air was perfect for most any
outdoor activity. The Country Club
^its usual number of golfers;
"s were in bloom everywhere
rthe grass' greens looked fresh
and inviting. Tryon is a wonder
ful place to live the year round.

this Saturday, March 15th at the
old LeMort place, now the Herbert
D. Olivers Fancy Hill. A diagram

RAMSEY RITES TO RE
HELD ON THURSDAY
Funeral services for Clyde Ram

for one hour prior to service.

Mr. Ramsey, a native of Mc
Dowell County, came to Polk Coun
ty in 1936, where he was engaged
in various businesses. In 1948
he moved to San Antonio; Texas,
where he entered business.
It is reported that Mr. Ramsey
was shot 3 times at his place of
business in San Antonio by a man
listed as Lynn Samples, and died
en route to a hospital.
