Knight Sr., who died of a heart attack Wednesday will probably be held Saturday morning. Final arrangements had not been com pleted at press time today. Mr. Knight was born at Bloom field, Iowa, 62 years ago and moved when a small child to Columbus, Ohio, where he grew up. He at tended Kenyon Military School for boys at Gambler, Ohio, Asheville School, Asheville,. N. C., and was graduated from Cornell Universi ty. He entered the automobile busi ness at Wheeling, W. Va., in 1918 as a Pierce-Arrow dealer, later Essex-Hudson and when he retired in 1945 on account of his heart he had the Packard agency. After one winter in Florida he and Mrs. Knight moved to Tryon to make their home and bought the former Bishop Touret house from Mrs. Wm. R. Kales. Since moving to Tryon he has been active in the Rotary Club, a deacon in the Congregational Church and salesman for various products. The deceased is survived by his widow the fovmer Miss Marguerite Rossini of Pittsburgh; one son, G’en T. Knight Jr., of Moorehead City, N. C., and 4 grandchildren. Edward R. Goodyear Speaker For Garden Club Edward R. Goodyear, Tryon florist, will be the guest sneaker at the Thrift-y Garden Club of Landrum, Tuesday, Nov. H, at 3 p. m., at the home of Mrs. John G. Landrum with Mrs. L. V. Mathis as co-hostess. Mr. Goodyear will speak on holiday arrangements with dried materials and accessories.;
