A lot of people are just beginning to real ize that the important “Mikado” which ran so successfully in New York City will be in Spartanburg Wednesday night at the Memo rial Auditorium, and that some tickets are available thanks to the largest auditorium in this part of the country .... Thursday will be a full day in Tryon. The new Plymouth will be on display at Donald Motor Co., the Duplicate ^^ge Tournament at Oak Hall, practices for Congregational, E^jtist and Methodist Churches, plus a subdistrict missionary meet ing at the Methodist; the P.-T. A. also meets Thursday night at the school to hear the Superintendent of the Spartanburg City Schools end also visit the classrooms. . . . They say a mob of people saw Aunt Jemima in Greenville last Saturday and John Cowan is get ting ready for her visit to Xryon this Saturday. The Quaker Oats people will have four representa tives at the store all day to tell customers about pancakes. Bor den’s Milk, Staley’s Maple Syrup and Swift’s Allsweet companies will also have representatives _Continued on Back Page_ THE NEW PLYMOUTH The 1953 Plymouth will be pre sented to the public throughout the United States on Thursday, Nov. 20th, Donald Motor Co., announc ed today. “Advanced engineering and styling make the new Plymouth more than ever before the out standing car of the low-priced field,” John Donald said. The 1953 Plymouth models will be on display at Donald Motor Co. The 1953 Plymouth is the most completely new Plymouth to be presented to the public in the quarter-century since the original model rolled off the assembly line. Plymouth Motor Corporation executives predict motorists will be delighted with the new, stream lined exterior, the luxuriously tailored harmoniing interiors, the increased horsepower and the scores of engineering innovations in the 1953 line which goes on display in dealers’ showrooms on November 20th. “This year Plymouth is introduc ing a new concept of automobile design in the low priced field,” President John P. Mansfield de clared in describing the 1953 models. “Superb styling is co ordinated with radicol engineering ; development to produce the truly balanced car for easier, safer and more comfortable driving.” ’ Height of the new Plymouth has been reduced for improved ap pearance.
